Flashes run all over Morehead State

KENT, Ohio -- Justin Manns scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds in just 17 minutes of playing time to help Kent State beat Morehead State 83-63 on Thursday night.
Morehead State (3-5) tied the game 24-all with a Terrance Hill 3-pointer, but Kent State used an 8-4 run to take a 36-28 lead into halftime. The run continued as Kent State scored the first six points of the second half, jumping out to a 14 point lead at 42-28.

Kent State (4-1) led by at least 11 points throughout the rest of the game, extending their lead to 20 points, 80-60, with 3:05 remaining following two Carlton Guyton free throws.
Randal Holt added 17 points and Guyton had 11 for Kent State.
The Golden Flashes have had at least three players score in double figures in all four wins this season.
Ty Proffitt paced Morehead State with 13 points.
