So what does the Kent-Akron rivalry mean to you? Is it a rivalry because of the hatred between fans or the fact that the schools are located near to each other? Like most rivalries, it doesn’t matter that Kent is 4-1 and Akron is 0-4 in the conference. Come game day, all bets are off. So how do you see this game and do you have any Kent-Akron rivalry stories to share with us?

Agreed, in many rivalries you throw the record out the window, especially once as fierce as ours. Probably why Kent is only a 3 point favorite. The boys better not be looking past this one to Temple, as the Zippers would love nothing more than to put a huge hit on our plans for the season, which I'm sure Buffalo would too considering our W there last year.

This is a good rivalry, but regardless rivalry or not Akron is in bad shape. If Kent can beat Western and Ohio by double digits they should put the hammer down on Akron. I will take Kent and the three all day.

I'd take the Flashes -3 all day long too if I was a betting man. but there's a reason they still need to play the games on the ball field. The Philadelphia Eagles look inept and can't do squat while losing to the lowly Raiders and then demolish a very good team like the NY Giants even w/o their best player, so you just never know.

One game at a time! I guess Coach Martin was on to something with his comment after the BG game about the Vikings burning their ships! Maybe all the KSU fans should wear Viking helmets to the Akron game!
