Steve, I know you were in person for the big win today. What visitors came to the game today? I know that you said the OL from Burton, Rylan Ward Safety from Columbus and Archie Griffin's son from Columbus were scheduled to visit. Did they visit? Who else visited? I am curious to see the momentum pick up in recruiting, as they are on a nice winning streak against MAC opponents, which is who they fight over recruits for.
Plus the Ohio HS season is over for 80% of recruits in Ohio, so they should be able to get them to visit campus and get their Senior year highlight video's.

I ran into Tanner Neumore, the OL from Burton Berkshire. His uncle played at Kent for Dick Crum/Pete Cordelli. His dad played at Potomac State/Arizona State, so he's got the genes. He just needs some experience. His freshman/sophomore years were lost to injury, so he's really only played two years. And he's played for four different head coaches.
I also talked to Adam Griffin and a couple of his teammates.
I didn't see Ryland Ward, but that doesn't mean he wasn't there.
There were about 25 kids in total that visited.

25 visitors, thats great news. Is Burton Berkshire, Columbus Brookhaven, and/or Columbus Northland in the Ohio High School playoffs? Were there any out of state recruits in attendance, as I saw that you added a DL and LB to the list of offers from Stone Montain, GA (Stephenson HS)??
Great win by the Flashes and glad they had recruits on hand to see the win, just wish the student section and community members sections would have been more full.
Next week is a big game, @ the rival new stadium, chance to win the wagon wheel back, and a chance to win over the opinions of recruits (Akron and Kent battle for many of the same recruits) with a big win in Akron's house.
I am really disappointed I will not be at the Akron vs Kent game this year.

Yeah, a real shame the crowd stayed away, terrible showing. They missed a good battle and a great Flash victory.

Steve do you think the small crowd hurt the recruiting.

Not at all...think about this...
Kent State has had very small crowds in many of the past few years, yet look at the talent they have recruited in the past couple years:
Spencer Keith, Tyshon Goode, Jacquise Terry, Brian Winters, Kendrick Pressley, Josh Pleasant, Luke Batton, etc.
The small crowd, no effect. The win, big effect.
Keep in mind too, I'm not sure more than a couple of the kids that visited yesterday had an offer.

That is good because I would not mind seeing them grab a couple of those kids that visited. That win was huge for recruiting especially if they knew about the losing streak.
